These Masterclasses made up of 20 online courses offers the following themes in terms of learning French (the masterclass is bilingual French and English).

Preparing for your trip to France:

The objective is to acquire all the basic vocabulary for your arrival and travels in France, as well as for your life in France.

Facilitating your arrival in France: arrival at the airport, passing through customs, taking a taxi from the airport to your hotel, checking in at the hotel, ordering and paying at the restaurant, asking for essential information (directions, public services).
Getting around in France: booking a train, knowing who to ask at the station, renting a car, communicating at highway rest areas…

Discovering the history of the D-Day landings:

The objective is to encourage your oral expression, understanding of terms related to the Normandy landings and Operation Overlord, and to give you an overview of the history of D-Day, which you can further explore on your own once in Normandy.

SECOND MASTERCLASS: Deepening the History of D-Day:

If you want to deepen your knowledge about the history of D-DAY, this Masterclass can be completed with the following program (an extra-fee for 10 more online classes will be required).
The objective is to delve deeper into the historical significance and events surrounding the D-Day landings during World War II, providing a more comprehensive understanding of this pivotal moment in history.

Context and Planning:

- Explore the background leading up to the D-Day landings, including the strategic importance of opening a second front in Western Europe.
- Discuss the planning and preparations undertaken by Allied forces, including the selection of Normandy as the invasion site and the elaborate deception tactics employed to mislead German defenses.

Execution of the Landings:

- Detail the events of June 6, 1944, including the airborne operations preceding the beach landings and the amphibious assault on Normandy’s coastline.
- Discover the challenges faced by Allied troops during the initial hours of the invasion, such as navigating through beach obstacles and facing heavy enemy fire.
