French dictations can be started at the very beginning of the learning.
However, dictations are mostly helpful once you’ve accomplished at least A1 level until level B2.
Goals of dictations: Improving spelling and grammar, vocabulary expansion, attention to detail & concentration, contextual learning, writing proficiency, integration of language skills and building confidence.
Dictations are useful from A1 to B2 levels.
Goals of creative writing: Fostering imagination and creativity, honing storytelling abilities, exploring language nuances, encouraging self-expression, enhancing descriptive skills, promoting critical thinking, improving spelling and grammar, vocabulary expansion, attention to detail & concentration, contextual learning, writing proficiency, integration of language skills and boosting confidence in written communication.
Creative writing is useful from A2 to C2 levels.
Grammar classes are efficient once the foundations of French are mastered.
